The Game is Over.

Tuesday, September 29, 2026

This is Roland, founder of Flowfo.

As you may know, Flowfo was created in 2019.
The idea was simple:
to offer creators and readers a leading independent space, free from ads, prohibitive fees, and censorship, with a simple and convenient online reader.

From the very first years, we were lucky enough to host incredible LGBTQ+ works such as Neighbor, Arena, Remembering Gale…
What an honor!
We quickly realized that LGBTQ+ stories were what truly made you -and us- tick.
So we started searching, reading, discovering, and promoting new stories.
We welcomed One More, My Cellmate, NSAS, TIOM… What a joy!

Every creator who joined us was a small victory.
And every rejection… a defeat.
Now, let’s be honest: we faced a lot of rejections.
And quite a few silences too.

Flowfo has grown. A little. Not enough.

The commissions from sales kept us financially balanced for several years.
But since 2025, our revenue has no longer been enough to cover our fixed costs: servers, accounting, payment systems, email services, etc. (And I’m not talking about salaries. The team has been volunteering since the public launch!)
An additional cost has arisen this autumn (2026): our long-standing payment provider dropped us because of our adult content.
To keep going, card networks are demanding prohibitive commission rates.

Consequently, Flowfo is operating at a loss. These losses have been piling up month after month.
I’ve considered various ways to secure new funding: crowdfunding, subscriptions, or bringing in outside shareholders.
But the problem runs deeper.

Our catalog isn’t extensive enough to generate the traffic we need.
Everyone stays in their own corner.
The gamble of turning Flowfo into a leading platform simply hasn’t worked out as I had hoped.

So, it is time for me to make the decision that needs to be made.
A decision that breaks my heart after thousands of hours spent working, developing, reading, searching, talking, exchanging ideas…

Flowfo will permanently close its doors on October 30, 2026.

If you are a creator, I ask you to please keep your artworks available until that date.
This will give your readers time to save the Flows they have purchased.
Use your news, covers, banners, and external links to redirect your fans to other platforms.
If you are a reader, save your purchased Flows from your gallery.
Subscriptions will no longer renew starting October 1.

I want to end this message with an enormous thank you to everyone who took part in this adventure.
To the creators: Slashpalooza, Glasssvial, Lehanan Aida, Pushcart, Tom Bouden, Kainokainen, Anthxn and all the others: you were our motivation and our pride every time a new page was uploaded to the site.
Keep the faith.
Your work and your talent inspire so many people. Thank you!

To the team members: Alix, Robert, Emeline, Anselme, and Bastien.
You were there at the beginning. You built this site from scratch, back when AI couldn’t code for us yet.
Well done. And thank you.

And finally, to you, the Flowfo users—whether you’ve been here since the beginning or only for a few weeks:
Thank you for reading.
Thank you for buying.
Thank you for recommending works to others.

Flowfo may not have become the great platform I had imagined.
But for seven years, together with the team, we tried to build something we believed in.
Greetings from Paris!!
